I had high hopes for this product, did lots of research as to what to buy, my hair had been pretty bad for ages, when I came across this product the reviews were promising, so bit the bullet and ordered. I used it for the first time this morning, it had more lather than I expected which made the wash very easy, when rinsing out I felt like there was some oils left behind which I thought perhaps is what helps weigh the frizz down a bit afterwards. I also purchased the conditioner so will write a separate review for that, but I must say, today is the first day in ages that my hair has felt so soft and clean and nice rather than frizzy, thanks so much for this wonderful product.

I've tried so many different products for curly hair and as a last ditch attempt tried DevaCurl but it's honestly the best product I've ever used on my hair. It's a bit weird at first getting used to cleansing your hair rather than soaping it up but you eventually get used to the technique of combing the cleanser through your hair with your fingers to clean it, which means you don't need to brush your hair when wet, either. The first time I used it I was really surprised at how clean it left my hair and the texture and quality of the curl is consistently great. My hair is pretty hit and miss with a 50/50 ratio of good and bad days but I can say I've only had one bad hair day using Deva Curl, after not washing out enough of the conditioner. They say you can actually leave the conditioner in the hair but I think this would work better for coarse curls and not fine curls like mine.

The only negative is that you can go through a bottle quite quickly but I always cleanse my hair twice so maybe that's why.

I have curly hair and this cleanser was quite what I wanted in a shampoo. It didn't really cleanse my hair that well. The smell was okay.
